Sadagah Lillah simply means for Allah It is any good act done with the intention of seeking the pleasure of Allah. Lillah can be utilized on anything that may benefit mankind.
It is a type of charity that does not have the condition of having to be passed into the possession of a person, as it can be given to institutions. Lillah doesn’t necessarily have to be in the form of money.
Simply providing physical help to someone falls in the category of giving Lillah. Where Zakat can only be spent directly on the poor, Lillah can be utilised in construction or renovations of homes, digging wells and similar projects.
